Update
I’m not going to say “oh, I’m sorry that I didn’t post anything in awhile…” Cuz it’s not an obligation and I never promised any one to keep this blog updated on daily basis however I will try to update you on what’s going on tatabotataville:
(In no particular order)
- I Just finished a big project and I hope things will go well in the printing press, I’m really scared that they might fuck things up.
- Got ALL of my proposed designs for the Identity of a new pan-Asian fast food chain REJECTED. They are not really “MY” options I just did the art direction part but the concepts were done by another Architect (friend of mine). I think we have the chance for a second round but I’m not sure it’s really worth it cuz we will be competing with this “Architect From Chicago” and as far as I know the owner got “3oqdat el frinjah” or whatever they call it and he will say yes to any thing designed by that “Architect From Chicago”.
BTW What’s with Architects doing graphic design? I know they studied the same stuff as graphic designers study and every thing, but can’t you just stick to designing buildings? Why do you want to take over our business? Amunki, don’t take it really personal, okay. :p
- Yesterday I invited friends to this fancy show-off restaurant that we wouldn’t go to normally. The reason? The menu was designed by yours truly. The waiter said that the people really liked the menu and it’s much nicer than the previous one.
- I found out that I have a thing for “7adaag” I really enjoyed it and I’m going to do it again tomorrow (hopefully).
- So I just got the chance to see Amelie. What an amazing movie. What I loved the most about it was the cinematography, It was done in a very professional way. The Colors of the movie as a whole, the slow pans, the fast spins and simple yet effective Visual FX.
I also saw Connie And Carla, I will just give it three stars and a half out of five. One movie to avoid: Garfield.
- I Finally used Bluetooth to connect my PC to my Mac. I can share files now but I have to figure out how to share the net connection.
- Did you notice the shades? Sure thing you did.
So what do you think?
Damn, this post took forever … I have a feeling that I can add more news and updates but I just can’t remember.

Can you at least tell us which restaurant it was so we can go check out the menu you designed?
That “architect from Chicago” could be some Arab draftsman who’s still waiting for his green card.

“7adaag” is fun, nevermind that I’m scared of the sea, fish, and hook… haha
I’m not smart enough to see “Amelie” (the one with the talking pig right?), but I did warn everyone NOT to go see “Garfield”.
Well, hope everything works out for you, work-wise!

Zaydoun, Ok … It’s Nino and while you are at it check out bredz temporary menu.
I think they met that “Architect from Chicagoâ€. And he’s no Arabic geezer.
D&G, As far as I can remember there was no talking pig in amelie Maybe you mixed it up with another movie. And you don’t need the smarts to watch it, unless you meant you don’t know frech … well, so do I, I was reading the subtitles.
Thanks for the posistive words.
Maryam, Very nice movie indeed. I just added to my all time favourites.
Madzia, Although I have a polish friend, her language is still a mystery to me. Sorry.

1) Let me start by saying that I DID notice the shades, the very first day you added them in fact (thought I already commented on them… Hmmm….My bad)
2) No offense taken about the “architects-turned-graphic-designers” comment. I totally understand.
It’s just that we are trained to “always design” that it often leaks from buildings, to furniture design, to industrial design, to graphic design, to sculpture/painting/photography etc…
It’s just something we do. We design. Whether it’s a huge million square-foot complex, or a product logo.
(Damn those dominating architects!) hehe..
3) Congrats on finishing that big project. I must see the latest on that…
4) Sorry to hear about the rejections. It happens. It’s part of being a designer. It’s what makes our “skin so thick”…
5) Amelie–Needless to say, this is a brilliant film (by Jeunet, I’ve mentioned a thing or two in my blog about him and Caro). And by the way, maybe the reference to the talking pig is that scene where the pig-statue-lamp thingie talks to the dudes in the photo-frame… Remember that part?
6) Afa 3alaiyk… Bachir I will go to both restaurants (for lunch and dinner) just to catch a glimpse of your work
And I will leave you with the “Mantra of the day”:
Damn you.
Damn you stupid architect from Chicago.
Damn you to hell…
hehe.
Peace.

That’s righ Amunki! I never watched that movie but I remember the talking pig. Anywhoo I’m not good with movies like that cuz they’re too complex not because they’re in french, it’s because they’re foreign.

1) Well, You DID comment on them.
2) I will just quote you. “I totally understand.”
3) Thanks, Sure.
4) Yes. **IT Happens.
5) Yes, Just remembered it.
6) So? what do you think? … (I will have to explain something about Nino’s Credits).
