The advertising quality in Kuwait is really bad. Even the international companies that we have in Kuwait for some reason loose their creativity! And who ever approved this ad made a big mistake. I guess they are getting the attention they want. Everyone is talking about it, maybe not in the way they wanted us to but people have noticed it for other reasons ;)

I saw this ad all around Kuwait and it does truly suck!! Bad publicity move for Al-Sayer. I know that they lefy HudHud Ad company and decided to go for an in-house design dept (since they bought out Saachi & Saachi). If this is the quality of work they do now, they all need to run and hide!

sayer didn’t buy out saatchi & saatchi. Buying out means that al sayer aquired the agency saatchi & saatchi as a whole, but in reality they are just partners in the local branch.

people shouldnt really blame the agencies all the time. although the agencies are at fault most of the times its also usually the clients fault. if an agency presents creative work to a client and the client rejects it deciding to go with something more conservative and “safe”, is it still the agencies fault? Could be.. but the client is also at fault for not willing to take a risk.

btw tata, i showed your FBK tshirt around the office, made a lot of people laugh hehe

VERY STRANGE, SINCE SAATCHI & SAATCHI ARE IRAQI JEWS, HOW DO WE HAVE THEM HERE IN KUWAIT??

    READ THEIR STORY:
“Charles Saatchi was born in Iraq in 1943. Four years later, he and Maurice were brought to Britain as their wealthy Jewish parents fled persecution.”

If we were to single out Jewish businesses here in Kuwait, we wouldn’t have anything left!

    Starbucks is a prime example

Maurice and Charles Saatchi used to run Saatchi and Saatchi. After erratic spending in the 1990s, S&S was near liquidation, but was bought off, then sold again to Publicis, which is a French company.

The Saatchi brothers now run, own and manage M&C Saatchi, another agency unrelated to Saatchi & Saatchi.

The ad sucks. The woman looks uninspired. I wouldn’t read as far as you did (i.e. I don’t see the sexual connotation), but it’s just a bad ad.

    Guys
If you have followed Al Sayers history of bad ads you’d consider this as their best! Perhaps the original Sarah was more vibrant yet more sexy, conservative Al Sayer’s can’t go with that so they added our lovely yet boring Sarah we see in this ad.
La il HudHud wala Saatchi2 can change old school Automotive imperial mentalities!
