I think you are talking about breaking in the engine... I usually keep it under 4000rpm for the first 1000 kms then add 500rpm increments every 250 kms. Don't forget to variate the rpms (no long drives on a single speed). You should push it every once and a while to set the engine seals. AND make sure the engine is properly warmed up before you do anything. 80 Km/h for a week? I think you are talking about breaking in the engine…
