A week late but hey late is better than never.
It’s kinda cool that both the writers of the bazar article and this article both assumed I studied in the states while in fact I never been there, well, not yet.
Thank you Shamael.
P.S: It would be nice to let someone know you will write about them. I mean, yes, the whole country was txting, calling and emailing me about it but I would have loved to know a little bit in advance.

I didn’t spam your post.
I just pointed out that the monthly kuwaiti bloggers meeting will be this thursday at 5:30PM at Second Cup (near the kuwait stock market). I also said, the meeting has always been open for everybody (boys and girls) and the 2:48AM fans as well as yourself and whoever is interested are welcome to join the meeting. I assure you there were no links to any penis enlargement kits of any kind in my comment.
Just thought I might help some people save some time by not re-inventing the wheel. So I posted some absolutely relative information and I don’t think I strayed from the main subject of your post.
Also, grow the fuck up.

This post is dedicated to my neighbor who just found out about my blog by weird, bizarre coincidence.
I still have to go and ask her what made her so sure it’s me.

Back with another post, It’s one of these laid-back and chilled out days at the agency. Been reading as many blogs as I can, kuwaiti blogs didn’t even make up 5% of that surfing journey. Every time I check Safat, I see the same old stuff … nothing interesting really. No offense my dear blogger friends, maybe it’s just me.
I remember having this conversation with the don’t-know-where-the-hell-is-she Gigi. We both confessed how became really dependent on blogs (especially kuwaiti ones) to stay informed and “in the know”. Well, I don’t think so anymore, not that I think I know it all and I’m better than anybody else but It’s just the signal to noise ratio is just scary. I don’t want to go through all these blogs and filter the contents and judge. I don’t have time for that.
Especially these days, with the elections and all that. In addition to the visual pollution in the streets I can safely say we have a contents-polluted blogosphere. However I’m proud of all the political initiatives associated with blogging and elections, really proud. I wish I can help with these things but work got me really busy recently.
For those who are curious to know what happened to the goatee, well, IT’S BACK! I was just dead curious to see what would I look like without facial hair. The cool thing I documented that change, including the Ron Jeremy look that lasted one day and a half. I’m gonna stay with this for another five years then see if I ant to change it.
I’m gaining weight and it’s not funny anymore.
Hilton’s pool is ziggaaan, never go there on a friday. Do people ever have a shower before stepping in the pool? You, Yes you with the tight-gay-speedo, fucking shower before you dip your dirty body in there and hey next time you decide to wear a speedo and strut your stuff around, have a heart and trim your pubes, we don’t need to see them to know you’re man.
On a sentimental note, I really miss Gigi.

Spam got the best of me and I decided to get rid of that chatterbox, really it became annoying as hell. PLUS, I would rather get emails than wait two-three days to see what’s in my chatterbox. My cell phone is configured to check my email every 30 minutes, so be sure whatever you send to me will be read and will most probably get a reply instantly wherever the fuck I be.
My email is bighair at this very same domain you’re reading this blog from.
Thank you

In this post I would like to answer the questions and reply to some of the comments left by some so-called readers of my blog in this post.
Someone called ahmed said “The point is as u are claiming
ur blog is “closed†plz dont use it and the readers to advertise and market ur goods.”
Well, thank you for acknowledging the fact that it’s MY BLOG. Sir, I can advertise for fucking penis enlargement kits and you can complanin all you want and I can not give a fuck about it. It’s my blog and I can do whatever the hell I want to do with it.
Another one called Talal said “ممكن تØدثنا عن الÙÙ† اللي تشتغل Ùيه؟
Apparently you didn’t even bother to read this post.I taught myself and I specialize in corporate identity design, I already have a portfolio website that will stay unconnected to this blog for the time being and I don’t feel like sharing it with the likes of you. Last but not least I suggest you look up the definition of ‘Art Director’, obviously you misunderstood it. I’m still trying to figure out how came to the conclusion that my t-shirts are made in china based on a picture.
In the end I would like to thank my fellow blogger, Q80-Chill Girl for the positive comments she left.

My “Swedish Hospitality” post got linked on twp blogs so far, Adrants.com and Marketerblog It also got some interesting individuals to write to me. It’s stuff like that that makes me wanna continue blogging.
I like the last two lines of Marketerblog’s post …
Ikea would do well to harness some of these collective insights before they design their next ad campaign. Or maybe they can just hire Tata Botata.
I got shit load of stuff to post, but I have no time really … sorry guys for being quite lately.

Apparently this person is responsible for the blocking of the whole .blogspot.com domain which also includes a relatively huge sum of the kuwaiti blogs hosted under mentioned domain. He called Fastelco and reported that some blogs “… insult Allah and his messenger …” and the result? a big chunk of the kuwaiti blogosphere is unreachable for people with normal connection. You can still access anything using a proxy.
Dear Asshole,
The web is full of people expressing their opinions on many subjects, islam is one of them. People been making fun of religion ever since religions existed, Look at the west and how they incorporate religious icons (like jesus christ) in their comedy shows and TV series.
Please dedicate your life to something worthwhile, stop wasting your time (and ours) and fucking things in a major way in the process. I remember I got a message about this petition for the company that runs paltalk to stop one channel that was dedicated to curse and make fun of prophet mohammed (pbuh) and the company asked for a million signature. How is that petition? do you guys still collect signatures? did you reach fifty thousand fuckers who don’t have anything better to do? How hard is it to just ignore low lifes who run such channels and avoid being the closest thing to them?
Brother … Literally, Get a life.
Give the dumbfuck a piece of your mind.
Update: The blocking issue has been resolved.

Just upgraded to Wordpress 2.0, It wasn’t that hard … didn’t face any problems. I read the instructions carefully and I followed them. Thanks god the plug-ins I use the most are working fine in the new version. I will fix the ad banner issues once I have free time. Tell me if you notice anything weird.

OK guys you got a cart blanche from me, go and let it out. Abuse that post and show the world how much you hate/ love me.
I know some people are dying to do this, if they haven’t done it already.

Some unknown authority is buying media space extravagantly in kuwait city, apparently it’s being used to convince kuwaiti blogger, bu maryoom, to come back to blogging and the art he mastered, Tu’hul’tum.
Meanwhile MTC is worried about finding any space to advertise their new service “Diz lee message, Turoo7 El jannah†in cooperation with Sheikh Mishari Al E’ Fasi.
Update: Bu Maryoom is Back, not fully though.

Well, time flies indeed and the end of november feels just like … errr … yesterday!
I find it really interesting that you posted that post A WHOLE MONTH IN ADVANCE and you didn’t leave it to that but you also wanted to savour the moment to the last hours. What are the odds of posting at 21:59? no “oops” will justify that, don’t even try it.
Do you want to get your blog deleted from safat? BTW I was looking for the blog itself, I couldn’t find it in the sea of ad banners and amazon links.
Update: OK people, Iamonplane is not on safat anymore.
Happy flying.

Some fellow bloggers have been complaining about how their time zones in blogger.com are “messed up”, “wacky” or maybe even “funky”. Wrong time zone information could cause problems when the blog is published through a news aggregator like safat. The aggregator recognize the post with the false date as the newest entry and keeps it on top and whatever actual “new entries” by other blogs with the correct time zone information will be under that post.
I think it’s unfair for the rest of the blogs to be down the list of the updated blogs on safat, especially when some bloggers intentionally change their publishing date (two days in advance?) or the time zone information. A new trick even involved changing the date and then waiting for safat to include it and then changing the time back to the correct date and pretend to be all innocent and clueless for what just happened.
We have told some of those bloggers about what they’re doing and their abusive practices are affecting safat. We got all kind of excuses from people claiming their computer clock is wacky to people who had “personal reasons” for doing that, and people who thought simply “it’s not my brobrem”.
Whatever your excuse my friend, we will help you set the time zone right (one thing to start with). I expect EVERYBODY to check their time zone, even if you think it’s correct. Keep in mind, bloggers with “wacky” time zones WILL BE DELETED from safat’s database in the very near future if they continue to do what they are doing.

Go to your dashboard, click the name of the blog you want to fix its time zone information.

Click “Settings” tab and then click the “Formatting” sub-tab.

There, you see that? The red word … yes, that’s how we spell the name of the country we are in, not “France” not “America” (no, it doesn’t count even if you studied there). “Kuwait” was that so hard?
Click the “Save Settings” orange button down the page and republish your blog.
Thanks, now your blog is published in the local kuwaiti time.

Mabrook man, for some reason I don’t want to say “minnik el mal o minha el 3yal” I Just realized how discriminating it is for all the “independent women”
On behalf of all bloggers, I wish you a happy life with whomever you chose to spend the rest of your life with. Mabrook again.
Since he disabled the comments on his blog, feel free to leave your “tabreekat” and the happy life wishes here on this post. (yes man, I’m trying to pimp my blog in the process)

I can’t wait for the next episode of MadM’s “Love vs Blog”. The guy is delivering some of his finest work with each episode. His humor, his colors and his strokes have changed (a little). He’s telling the jokes from a very insider perspective, makes you wonder what the mad man has been up to lately.
I also like the fact he disabled commenting on his blog. You don’t really need more cheering now, do you?
On a more hilarious note, you guys have to read the unreal Salha & Saad (a la “Darb El Zalag”). Their posts are funny, cute and sometimes they’re sooo believable, you can’t help but wonder if they are for real or not.

Apparently, some chinese asshole (calling him self “brunin”) hacked Safat, I tried accessing the aggregator pages but all of them were showing the same retarded logo. I don’t think it’s a simple index.html replacment thing.
Good luck Nibaq, I hope it isn’t that big of a problem.

What’s with adding someone to your blogroll (or ‘blogs I like’ list of links) then removing them (for no apparent reason). I noticed I got removed from someone’s blogroll, what the fuck does that mean? Why did you add me in the first place?
After some thinking, I realized, this person is not on my blogroll, so I was like ‘oh that’s why, he’s pissed that I didn’t link to him although he was linking to me’ but after checking his blogroll again I noticed, there were links to blogs which doesn’t link to him.
After some more thinking, I remembered, this isn’t the first time this happens to me … I’ve been removed from another blogroll before but I understood, they had a really big ass list and they had to clean it up.
Now I’m not really pissed or anything. It’s your blog and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. I’m just wondering ‘why?’ What do you have against me exactly?

Ok … ok … I gotta write something here.
Ok … yeah, ok. The Bloggers meeting was cool, no really.
I think everybody wants to know who came and who didn’t. Shadyq80, Nibaq, Moodless, Hamad and yours truly, that’s it. I met shady an hour before the official meeting to talk about ‘something’ (basically 7ash). After almost two hours, we were joined by hamad and moodless who was kinda shy to ask me ‘sorry, is this tatabotata?’. I’m telling ya, those guys would be totally lost without my afro which was really gorgeous that day, Also I was wearing turtlenecks … I was fabulous, dahling, the only missing thing was my aviators.
Later on nibaq joined us and he gave me my first moleskine (thanks a lot dude, I really appreciate it). We talked about lotsa things that I can’t remember right now but they were mostly ‘nerdy’ as shady said in his post.
Hamd and Moodless decided to leave first, they seemed like they have other plans too. We stayed talking till 11 or so, We didn’t even notice that the guys are closing the coffee shop. We decided to go and have dinner somewhere, We went to 99 resturant which is really nice … amazing shawarma and the only restaurant I know serving French fries in a dish similar to the ‘hommes’ one.
Few weird things happened while we were there. Two Beardos came in and sat in one of those round corners of second cup and one of them turned the little screen they have off BECAUSE there was a music channel on. I mean for fuck’s sake there was a big ass screen and some relatively loud music and you still can hear it. Why are you here in the first place?
Bunch of guys (3-4) came in, gave me a look, talked to each other and left. They might as well come and suck on my mean cock Just like any other blogger who came unannounced just to watch us from a distance.
Totally Unrelative:
Check out the magazines section in sultan center, one of the best collections … better than Virgin’s and Kuwait bookshops’. I was amazed to find magazines like SPIN, ICON and OH MY GOD … DAZED AND CONFUSED. However the prices were really high. I mean like 70% Higher than the real price of the magazine.

These are excerpts from a message i sent to some one. I modified it of couse, I just thought it could serve as a good introduction to my blog.
… I jumped from blog to blog and I discovered a lot of new Kuwaiti blogs (weird coincidence, almost all of them started in June, yeah maybe the summer holidays). Being the old blogger member I am and feeling nostalgic to my blogging days. I decided to come back.
and here I’m introducing my blog http://tatabotata.blogspot.com , yes,you can call it the tata botata blog. The current title is temporary. It’s just like the others will serve as a daily journal of what’s happening. Also, I really enjoy picking at the local ads we see in the newspapers and magazine, so yeah call me an Ad Critic.
I’m a graphic designer, I’ve worked in different agencies and done work for few production houses. Right now suffering the close-down of the company I used to work for (4 months now, I got over it) You can call me a freelancer. I’m still not sure if I want to continue doing this.
You see, I bought every thing in the studio space of my last agency (still paying for it) and my bedroom became almost like a … dunno, I might post some pictures later and you can judge. So I’m totally open for both commercial and non-profit personal projects.
…
